Day 2: Snorkeling at Dump Reef

May 14th, 2019

"Today we saw a reef shark at dump reef. In quick glimpses you could see the strength that it swims with as well as it's surprising grace that it glides along the shallow water shelf. By the way it shifted and turned you could tell it was in the middle of a hunt. The bunch of Pilot fish followed it step for step and stroke by stroke, like a bunch of synchronized swimmers. The fish that were big enough to be considered a meal by the hunter were hiding in any nook or cranny that they could find, hoping to doge the 5-foot long bullet coming their way. As the hunter slipped into the darkness I was left in total awe at it's power it showed" -Tanner, Junior
